Description of services

Multidisciplinary Evaluation

Under federal and state law, children thought to be eligible (e.g., referred with a suspected or confirmed disability) for the EIP are entitled to a multidisciplinary evaluation, which determine whether a child is eligible for the Early Intervention Program; assess a child’s physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and adaptive development; identify areas of developmental strengths and needs; and, learn and understand the parent’s resources, priorities, and concerns related to their child’s development.

Special Instruction

Special instruction is one of the support services offered to infants and toddlers by the Early Intervention Program (EIP) in the state of New York. Special instruction services consist of special educational sessions with a special instruction specialist, the child, and the child’s parents.

Physical therapy

Our Physical Therapy program is focused on improving core stability, neuromuscular re-education, and gross motor ability. Our therapists are specialized in pediatric physical therapy with years of experience. Our therapist utilizes evidence-based practices in creating a unique approach to meet your child’s needs for a bright future.

Speech Therapy

Our Speech-Language Pathologists work with children who have delays with receptive and/or expressive language, oral motor, articulation, swallowing, cognition, and social and educational skills. Through a team approach, our speech therapists help children achieve their therapy goals.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists work with children to help develop the skills necessary for participation in everyday life. Occupational Therapists can utilize many different frameworks in order to help a child reach their optimal functioning level. One approach that an Occupational Therapist uses is a Sensory Integrated approach.
